Podcast: The Redheart Memorial Oral History

In 1887, the Redheart Band, of the Nez Perce tribe, were unjustly imprisoned by the U.S Military at Fort Vancouver, and during their incarceration a little boy died. Beginning in 1998, a memorial is held every year by the Nez Perce Tribe and the City of Vancouver to honor the band and the little boy that died. This podcast focuses on the memorial and aims to record the voices of those involved in it.
It is part of an oral history project Confluence is doing to preserve the memories of those who have been part of the annual Red Heart Memorial.
