#SupportIndigneous – Linda Meanus
We honor Linda Meanus, a Warm Springs author, elder, and cultural educator dedicated to preserving the stories of her people.
Linda grew up under the guidance of her grandmother, Flora Thompson and grandpa Chief Tommy Thompson near Celilo Falls. Today, Linda’s book My Name is LaMoosh and her public talks help pass on family and tribal histories to the next generation.
Elders like Linda hold irreplaceable knowledge — but too often, they lack the resources to document, publish, or teach that wisdom. Your gift today helps support Elder artists and cultural teachers sharing their stories with the world.
We’re also proud to be honoring Linda, alongside Lillian Pitt and Elizabeth Woody, at this year’s Legacy Maker Gathering 2025. We are honored to share with you the impressive, powerful and impactful legacy of these three women at the event on September 20, 2025.
