Tule Basket Weaving Workshop – (beginners level)
January 27-28th, 2024, 10-4 pm
Work with tule, a traditional material used in the PNW, in multiple traditional weaving techniques to make a basket. Tule continues to be used by regional Indigenous cultures used for clothing, basketry, food storage, travel, housing, and more. Stephanie will also provide a presentation on traditional lifeways, I/TEK, family history, ikanum and share family belongings that have been passed down for generations within her family.
Cost: $150 for instruction and materials
A minimum of 10 participants necessary to hold workshop, with a limit of 12.
