Street Mural + Community Celebration at CNAC!

When
June 21, 2025
10 A.M. to 6 P.M.
Where
CNAC 800 SE 10th Ave, Portland, OR 97214

Save the Date: We’re putting a street mural in front of the Center for Native Arts + Culture (CNAC) on Saturday, June 21!

At the Native Arts + Cultures Foundation (NACF) we are committed to sharing the valuable contributions of Native artists with our community. What better way to do that than to take the art out of CNAC and into the street! The best part of all is that you, our friends, family, and community are invited to join in on the painting of this one-of-a-kind mural.

The brilliant artists Jacob Meders (Mechoopda/Maidu) and Toma Villa (Yakama Nation) will complete a dazzling mural on Southeast Tenth Avenue just outside CNAC. Not only will this mural make our neighborhood more beautiful, it will make us all safer too.

A 2022 study conducted by Bloomberg Philanthropies found that at sites where street murals had been installed, pedestrian involved car accidents dropped 50%, accidents resulting in serious injury dropped 37%, and total accidents dropped 17%.
