Summer Internship At Confluence

April 18, 2016

Confluence is looking for an intern this summer for 12 weeks for Confluence Online. We're building a digital interpretive experience that documents and provides access to significant stories about the six Confluence sites along the Columbia River system. These sites provide a framework for understanding the confluence of history, cultures and ecology that defines our region. As a crucial aspect of that work, Confluence is partnering with cultural and tribal organizations to create an Oral History Archive to be stored in perpetuity in a culturally appropriate manner. The partners for this project include NW Documentary, tribal and university archives across the Northwest.

The role of the project intern is to assist the project manager in tracking and coordinating  tasks and outcomes related to the Confluence Oral History Archive. You will work with executive director, project manager, project historian, video production team and archival partners to help implement all elements of Oral History Archive. Another critical task is to transcribe interviews and assemble metadata for the archive.

See the full Intership Description here.

This is a part-time position – approximately 12 hours per week for 12 weeks. For consideration, please email your resume, list of potential references, and a cover letter with relevant experience to InfoConfluenceProject.org.

The application deadline is Monday, May 2, 2016

Confluence is an equal opportunity employer and we strongly encourage applicants of all backgrounds.
